Good morning Dr  Saraswat Ji                 

It is heartening that to give a color image of DRDO you are spending 2.12 crores with the Discovery channel for the propaganda of the so called achievements of which 70% components are imported. Khoj India TV team received only Rs 18 Lakhs for six episodes. They are poor guys who were not able to milk the cow (DRDO).

Sir, I read a story the other day from news paper a MBBS, FRCS, MRCP degree holder doctor was not able to give reason of cuff & cold to his patient suffering from the same, when the patient asked repeatedly the reason. The doctor sought suggestion from a medical representative who was only B.Sc. pass that how to satisfy the patient.  Medical representative in turn suggested the medicine currently developed by his company and hand over a handsome gift to the Doctor and also promise for finite commission on the total sale of the medicine. The medical representative also gave an idea to show a film to the patient so by seeing many bla bla, patient will forget his asked question.

In DRDO we appoint sincere hard working result oriented scientists/ engineers who are capable to deliver a product which India can also sell to others. But these scientists are guided by the sales representatives of big multinational suppliers who convinced them to procure their subsystems with handsome gift and fatty commission with local hospitality. Nobody bothers whether the subsystem is compatible with the integrated system, 99% of the procured system is failed and dumping in the corners of all 51 DRDO labs because the project was undertaken for technology demonstrations. This exercise we have been continuing since the entry of Dr. Arunachalam as SA to RM. We have no commitment for the mission mode in the name of technology development we have ignored the fundamental science, we ignored the basic research, we ignored the poor tax payers money.

If a system development  are in stages and failure analyses is done honestly and if three services are taken into confidence, probably it will be big achievement for “Dr Saraswat period as SA to RM”

Here I remember one quote which was placed by   Dr.RN Singh, Eminent Scientist from IRDE in his office room “Man’s work speaks louder than his voice”

       Thanking you Sir, I hope Dr. Saraswat’s word and deed are one, only the time will  tell.
